It's officially the first day of spring and the forecast is 70 and sunny! Woo hoo! Our winter has been mild but I am so ready for the nicer weather and have been craving sun. So much so I was looking to book a mini-break last week and after much discussion and searching the Internet we decided that the real reason we couldn't take a trip was time off. I would enter a sad face here but at least we have beautiful days to be thankful for and can soak up the sun at home. I can't get too carried away b/c it's going to be 40 and rainy again next week but this burst of spring we have had should be able to keep me going. We agreed that we will try to find somewhere "local" and plan two nights away that won't require any time off. We just need to pick a place, we thought about the Cherry Blossoms in DC or spring on Martha's Vineyard. We will probably book somewhere this weekend.
Blogland is all a flutter with spring cleaning and happy spring thoughts! I never realized how much reading your blogs would lift my spirits. It may also help that last night I got to snuggle with the most perfect little baby, baby Maeve (my friend Nicole and Brian's 12 day old little girl). She was just curled up on me snoozing away for hours, making funky expressions and sighs. Babies are just amazing.
No adoption news. Just waiting...as patiently as we can.
