I am offcially in my 30's!

I guess I haven't had much to say lately, no funny stories or news to share! Hubs and I have just been busy with our normal daily routines, the days are flying by and I am literally shocked it is already March!

This week was my Birthday, my friends and family went above and beyond. I feel so very special and blessed to have such wonderful people in my life! My husband spoiled me rotten, I usually give him some absurd budget like $25 but this year I told him to do whatever he wanted and he did! I literally had a massive stack of presents to open, every single gift was so thoughtful and perfect for me. I am so grateful to have such a warm, loving and attentive husband! Two of the gifts he gave me were necklaces, one was an adoption necklace from "the r house" and one was a stunning pendant that has a butterfly wing enclosed (no harm was caused to the butterfly!!! They apparently only work with butterflies that have already died). Both are so pretty and I cannot wait to wear them! My roommates from college came down for the weekend, we ate entirely too much and I am STILL sore from the Wii fit boxing competition we had and from laughing as much as we did. Tonight my girlfriends are taking me out for Mexican Tapas, I am more than excited even though I have seriously not felt hungry for over a week. I am blessed.

Our homestudy has officially been renewed! We are again "live" with both agencies and just continuing the wait…it's funny b/c it's been long enough now where I think people feel awkward to ask me if we have heard anything. I can honestly say though I am not sad or stressed out! I am at peace, I know that everything will happen when it is supposed to.

While we wait we have decided we may as well educate ourselves so we are signed up to take a pre-adoptive infant training class this weekend. I think it will be informative and probably hilarious! Not that my husband and I can't be serious but sometimes the little things get us tickled. Also, we are glad this year we will be able to attend the New England Adoption Conference, last year we had plans and were unable to attend so we are looking forward to that. I think having these things planned will help the time pass, we don't have any trips or visitors to look forward to so we have to fill our weekends with distractions!

My final birthday present is a trip to see The Lion King on Broadway this weekend, it's probably more for kids but I am a kid at heart and I am SO EXCITED! I wish I could take some pictures and post them but I won't be allowed so I'll write a post next week.

Hope you all are having a great week :)

Happy belated birthday!

We attended an infant care class a few months ago...it was just for adoptive parents. Ours was hilarious (I blogged about it of course), but very informative. Have fun with it!
