Shhhh...

I am supposed to be focused on tidying out the spare room and catching up on my scrap booking (I am officially 3 years behind)...however, here I am stuck to my computer reading blogs and looking for an inexpensive 4 day tropical getaway :) David and I have never gone away anywhere tropical just the two of us, we have gone to Mexico twice with friends which was fantastic but we just want a little break for us. Well I say "we" but it's more me convincing David that we have the time and money...haha. Any suggestions? I'll even take suggestions of places to stay away from! I would like the trip to not take more than 6 or so hours from Boston, I know that limits us. I am currently looking into Antigua, I've found some middle of the road resorts for a decent price. I'm not sure we NEED all inclusive since we aren't drinkers but we do like to eat...a lot! I am so not a 5 star kind of girl, when we go away for weekends we like B&B's and a casual trips. Don't get me wrong I like nice but when it comes to booking a trip I definitely don't feel the need to double the cost to stay in a 5 star hotel that is so big we get lost...I would prefer a smaller quaint getaway. Any who, just hoping for some suggestions/ideas! Thanks!

i found online a place called anna maria island in fl that looks super quaint, relaxed, and cutesy, but probly not tropical enuf. my sis in law swears by st kitts as her fave place ever. i wanna say st lucia is gorgeous too. but the st kitts they liked so much b/c of just what you want- i think they rented a cottage or something.

Oooh I was just telling Matt two nights ago that I wanted to take a nice, mini beachy vacation. So far he is NOT buying it! But we'll see...

I don't have any ideas for you but am looking forward to seeing where you decide!

Bhubaneswar is tropical . . . : ) Still the whole 6 hours away thing kind of puts a damper on it. I'm just saying, 90 degrees everyday, sunshine and your favorite nieces?? Just ignore the water buffalo, goats and cows walking down the street. Ohhh and the trash everywhere and the beggars . . . OK maybe I'll just come with you!!!!

Re your proposed trip - have a look at the VRBO site. We have booked accommodation in Vancouver and Vancouver Island for this year via this site. You may be lucky.
