I thought I would write a post about something I am passionate about (other than adoption!). I love saving money! I am not one of those people that will buy an item simply because I have a coupon but if I am planning on buying something I will look for a coupon. My sister Missy first inspired me to use coupons and to look for discount codes. There are several sites (in addition to buying the Sunday paper for coupon inserts) that I use constantly to help us stick to our budget and to save extra dollars;
1. http://www.dealseekingmom.com/ ~ check here everyday!
2. http://www.afullcup.com/ ~ great for Target coupons which you can combine WITH a manufacturer coupon!
3. http://www.thegrocerygame.com/ ~ if you go to the "Hot Tips" page you can view postings from other money saving ladies, they post deals and coupons they have found.
4. http://www.retailmenot.com/ ~ I always go here before I buy something online, never pay for shipping!!!
5. http://www.ebates.com/ ~ finally, make sure you go through ebates for all online orders, you get cash back on your purchases. They mail you a check or can direct deposit into PayPal each quarter, after the holidays I am expecting a $50 check!
One thing I will not do is sacrifice quality over cost, if I prefer a certain brand I will find a coupon for that brand. Also, to double your savings buy items when they are on sale and use a coupon so you save even more money! On average I will have at least $10 worth of coupons for both the grocery store and Target. May not seem like a lot but if you add that up over a year it's at least $1000 in savings, that's enough money to buy a new appliance or go on a mini-break!
If any of you out there like to save money as much as I do please share your secrets :)
Have a great day!

thanks for the tips! what are these sites like-- actual coupons or telling you where they are ??
Most of them have actual coupons, you just have to figure out where to go for them! Also, I have heard diapers.com is great for buying diapers/wipes/formula etc...they offer free shipping and apparently quite cheap baby stuff :)
