Happy Mother’s Day to all the new, waiting and expecting Mum's out there! Usually this is a tough weekend for me but having "motherhood" on the horizon is definitely making it a little easier. I do miss my mum terribly though and wish she was here to celebrate with us.
I received my first "Mother's Day" card from my friend Mary and a t-shirt that says "New Mom 2010". It's VERY cute and I am wearing it right now. I'll have to take a picture and post it so you can see the shirt along with my new hairdo. I chopped my hair and no it's not my new "Mom" cut...several co-workers commented I had a new Mom do but I think I just needed a change. I told them they don't need to worry about my hair but if I start wearing "Mom pants" then we are in trouble ;)
I am waiting for the call for my new front-loading washing machine. I have been entirely too excited for this glorious day to come as I’ve had too many clothes ruined by my top-loader! Once it's delivered, I'll be spending the whole day doing laundry and watching as I save money on water, detergent and electricity!
So since I have gone private I feel like I’ve lost most of you...is it because my updates don't show up or did I really lose folks? I didn't think that would bother me but it does! Haha! I'll keep an eye on my visit ticker and if it doesn't start going up I may have to give up the whole privatized dream because I would rather stay in contact with you all. I think several of you have gone through this whole routine of going private and then coming back to the other side.
We are having another call with our BF next week just to check in, we are still waiting for them to move and meet with their new Dr who will schedule the c-section. I can't believe we are just over 5 weeks away now...crazy! We went ahead and booked an extended-stay suite because they were all starting to book up and I panicked. We called the hotel and they were really great and said we can change the dates and check-out whenever we needed to. They understood these trips can take just a few days or up to two weeks. The place looks really great and it's like a little apartment with a full-kitchen, separate bedroom and little living area. We figure if we are going to have to travel for a chunk of time we should try to keep our routine as normal as possible! I'll post again when we have our next call! Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!
