Connections

So the last few weeks we have had some movement! We don't have a match yet but we really feel like it's going to happen soon. We have been working on the baby room in preparation, bought some furniture and are picking up bits and pieces. We are reading the parenting books and enjoying our quiet time. Apparently our new agency receives a lot of "last minute" calls so there is a chance things could move really quickly. There was one birth mother that was due Sep 13th, she ended up having the baby 3 weeks early and decided to keep her before she selected adoptive parents. However, had she chosen us we would have been travelling within a week. Needless to say we are excited and preparing ourselves and our home just in case. Here are some pickies of how her room currently looks, I was really pleased to find a quilt that our Auntie Stella made for my Mum and it matches the room perfectly (thanks Auntie Stella!!!). Still I think I'll write a book about our journey and what we have learned! Not that I will have time to write a book once we are parents but I'll keep notes just incase ;)
