Today David and I had a second conference call with our BM, I cannot put into words how much the conversation meant to us. Our BM is simply the best! We have heard all sorts of scenarios (good and bad) but our process since we have been matched has by far exceeded our expectations. We certainly did not expect our BM to be so happy for us and to be excited for us to adopt her baby girl. Not only was she unbelievably easy to talk to but she was sweet and so happy to be placing her child with us. Personally, I was worried about her and how she was feeling and dealing with her decision but she was more focused on us. We shared with her the name we wanted to give our baby girl and she loved it, we also told her the colors we painted her room and she said she thought those colors were so pretty together. We talked for so long that the agency hung up and just let us all talk, we are more than ever looking forward to meeting them. They have asked us to be at the hospital, they want us to be able to meet our baby girl as soon as possible and get to experience her first hours. Can this get any better?
Today she had been to the Dr. and had an ultrasound, baby Juniper is currently 3lbs 15 oz (normal weigh for this point) and is healthy! They expect her to go pretty much full-term (June 16th) but she will have a scheduled c-section which we hope to get that date at her next appointment in two weeks. As much as it feels surprising to say this we are actually looking forward to get to speak with our BM again. If all goes as well as it has done so far this should be a really special process for us...we are so thankful!
