“Not flesh of my flesh, nor bone of my bone,
but still miraculously my own.
Never forget for a single minute,
you didn’t grow under my heart, but in it.”

How lucky am I to have such a beautiful, funny, smart and amazing daughter? How lucky am I to have a loving, nurturing, kind and wonderful husband? Combine the two and I feel like the luckiest Mum and wife around! I had the most lovely 1st Mother's Day which was filled with lots of cuddles and kisses with Juniper. David and Junebug went out and picked me up a snicker doodle iced coffee, a bagel and a beautiful bunch of flowers. We went for a long walk to the park and Juniper had fun on the swings, slide and tried climbing. We ended a day with a trip to the mall where I had the chance to buy my little Bug some clothes from Crazy 8. Nothing makes me happier than spoiling my little girl.
Being a Mum means the world to me, I love every part of it. I especially love the massive smile she greets me with when I come home from work followed by a loud squeal of delight. I love the kisses she gives me, the big cuddles, I love that she reaches for me when she is sad. I may worry about her day and night but I love her more than life itself and being her Mum has completed my family. I have never been happier, the only piece that is missing is my Mother getting the opportunity to see me as a Mum. My heart ached a little less this Mother's Day.
