Clearing Out!

We have been trying to freshen up our basement, it's your typical grungy basement but we figured a little fresh paint and new ceiling tiles would help. Not to mention a good clean out and organization! We got a lot done today and ended up going through a ton of boxes and getting rid of a bunch of junk! It feels good to clean out and have everything look tidier.

Last night David took me out to see "The Blind Side", if you haven't seen it yet we would highly recommend it. Not only is it a feel good movie with a good message but it really reconfirmed our desire to adopt through foster care. There are just so many children already born that are in dire need of a home that it breaks my heart. I think had I not wanted to experience a newborn we would have gone straight to adopt through our state. I go back and forth all the time, we are set up for a newborn right now but I know we would be so happy adopting a slightly older child. Needless to say the movie made me laugh and cry and I left with a big smile on my face.

Not much else to report, still waiting for our homestudy to be renewed, hopefully in the next week or two. Next weekend we are headed to NC to see my family and bid farewell to my sister and her family moving to India (there will be a lot of tears!).

We are still hopeful we will have some good news soon!
