Is it even possible that we have an 8 month old (I know I am a day early)? Everyone that told me to enjoy every second because it goes by too fast was right! Before long we will be celebrating her 1st Birthday and other milestones I don't even want to think about right now! Everyday is better than the day before. I say to David almost daily while I miss her being so little I am just so excited about each new thing she learns and does.
So what can I tell you about our little Bug? She is for the most part a very happy baby, there are times when she just wants her Daddy and there are times where she just wants her Mum! She still usually only cries if she is hungry, tired or wants alone time. Yup you read that correctly, alone time, she sometimes wants to just sit in her bouncy chair with a toy and hang out for a bit. She loves to jump, either in her jumperoo, her door swing or on our lap! Her favorite food is green beans, Daddy keeps saying lets see if those are still your favorite in a year! She and I have an inside joke, I'm not sure what it is but most often when she sees me (if she hasn't seen me in the last hour) she just laughs.
She has three teeth now, all on the bottom. Poor little thing has about 36 hours before, during and after a tooth comes through that is tough on her. She usually has a fever, doesn't sleep well and is grumpy. This happened starting Thursday night, she woke up at midnight with a fever of 103 and was just really unhappy. We couldn't get her to settle again until 4am! The next morning there was the new tooth popping through, I can't imagine it feels great for something to come tearing through your gums! Friday night she didn't sleep great either, she was just really restless but she made up for it last night. She was sound asleep by 6:30pm and we got her up at 9am. She also took a much longer nap today and was again in bed by 6:30pm. I am hoping she is back to normal tonight and for the rest of the week.
What else...she has a new bear "violet" that is programmed with her nickname "Bug". She absolutely loves her. She loves reading stories, playing with her laptop, her yookidoo and her stacking toys. She loves to sing songs especially "round and round the garden" on her belly which makes her laugh out loud every time! She gives really wet opened mouth kisses on our cheeks and now shakes her head no. I swear today she said "mumma", David said he didn't hear it but it was clear as day to me! She is getting more assertive in her feelings about things, she makes it known if she doesn't like what she is doing or what she is eating! Yesterday she was getting tired and threw a toy! I had to laugh since she had never thrown a toy like that before. She is starting to actually pose for pictures and tilt her head when I say smile.
Juniper absolutely loves Daycare, we couldn't be more happy about that. She has her little friends and of course Mary Ellen who is amazing. She has so much fun playing, reading and being around the other kids. When David takes her Monday morning she starts kicking her legs with excitement once she realizes where she is!
She will be getting her very first passport very soon! We will be taking her on the first of many trips across the pond next month! We have many family members and friends that are eager to meet her. We are looking forward to it very much.
I am sure there is so much more I could share, for now here is our sweet girl.
